The practice of saving and sharing seeds goes back thousands of years and is essential for a healthy and sustainable food future. The Flossmoor Library is home to the Flossmoor Seed Library, a free community resource that encourages gardeners to plant, save and share their seeds with others. The seed library promotes open pollinated, non-hybrid and heirloom seeds that are suitable for our growing area. Gardening newbies and veterans alike are welcome to participate. Drop in and take or leave seeds anytime during normal library hours. Come help us grow?
